Moises Caicedo's agent breaks silence on failed Arsenal move

Moises Caicedo's agent is concerned that the opportunity to join Arsenal may not be repeated in the summer.

in the January transfer window, but Brighton rejected their two offers worth £60 million and £70m. The Gunners eventually decided to sign Jorginho on an 18-month deal.

Chelsea and Liverpool also are interested in the 21-year-old midfielder and Arsenal reportedly still wants to sign Caicedo, but his agent is concerned that the opportunity to join a big club may never be repeated.

Caicedo also released a statement on his social media pages last Friday and asked Brighton to let him leave the club. He did not train for Brighton till the end of last week and missed the game against Liverpool in the FA Cup, but recently returned to training.

Caicedo’s agent Manuel Sierra told Marca90:

"The offers were received, you see what was on the table and Moises said he wanted to move forward [in his career], that it is the dream of his whole life, and an opportunity that may not be repeated in life.

"We then helped draft the statement [on social media].

"In that statement, he expressed his wish and his gratitude to the club because they gave him the chance to fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League.

"We didn't know what would happen tomorrow, maybe he trains and gets injured. We can't know what's going to happen.”

Sierra also said releasing that statement was a consensual agreement between them and Brighton.

He added: "

Brighton understand the situation and they love him very much. It was a consensual agreement."
