Caicedo to submit transfer request amid Chelsea and Arsenal interest
Integral to Brighton's playing style, Arsenal saw their £60m bid rejected by the Seagulls as they are holding out for at least £80m. However, Caicedo is reportedly considering forcing his way out of the club.
Earlier today it was revealed that
Arsenal
has made a £60m bid for Brighton midfielder
Moises Caicedoas the Seagulls rejected the bid from the Gunners. Chelsea has also been linked with the midfielder though they saw their £55m verbal proposal rejected.
Now according to
Daily Mail, the 21-year-old midfielder is eager to hand in a transfer request to force a move away from
Brighton
this January. In addition to the two London clubs, Liverpool has also been linked with a move for Caicedo.
Brighton manager
Roberto De Zerbi
revealed his hopes of keeping the midfielder this season earlier, telling a press conference:
“He is only focused on Brighton. I understand he has the chance to go to a very big team but I hope he can stay with us until the end of the season. My opinion is that is the best solution for him and us.”
