FFF to file lawsuit after French players face racial abuse on media

After completing a splendid comeback in the 2022 World Cup final, France lost 4-2 to Argentina in the penalty shoot-out with several France players reportedly being racially abused on social media.

Despite a stunning hat-trick from Kylian Mbappe, Argentina triumphed in the 2022 World Cup after winning in the penalty shoot-out.

The French Football Federation

announced they will file complaints after some of their players were subjected to "racist and hateful remarks" on social networks. In addition to FFF,

Bayern Munich

also condemned the racial abuse of Kingsley Coman on social media after the player missed a penalty in the shoot-out.

"

Following the World Cup final, several players from the French team were the subject of unacceptable racist and hateful remarks on social networks,

" a statement read.

"The FFF condemns them and will file a complaint against those responsible."

Argentina dominated the game from the very first minute as

France

looked fragile and unable to attack. Goals from Di Maria and Messi sealed a 2-0 result for Argentina. However, Mbappe completed a 2-minute brace to send the game to the extra time, where he once again answered Lionel Messi's goal to send the game to the penalties after 120 minutes.
