Dumfries agent: I hope his value hasn't increased too much!

Denzel Dumfries' agent hopes his price tag has not risen too much following his impressive performances at the World Cup.

Netherlands star

Denzel Dumfries

has impressed at the

World Cup

and has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham among the clubs thought to be interested in him.

Dumfries scored once and provided two assists to help the Netherlands to secure a 3-1 win against the USA and reaches the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Netherlands also faces Argentina in the quarter-finals on Friday.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Dumfries’ agent Rafaela Pimenta said they don't want his price to increase too much to deter interest.

Pimenta was asked about the possibility of his value rising due to his performances at the World Cup.

She replied:

"Let's hope not otherwise it will be more difficult to transfer him!”

The 26-year-old Dumfries joined Inter from PSV in 2021  for €15 million. He has scored seven goals and provided 10 assists in 65 matches for Inter. Reports in Italy suggest that Inter is open to selling him in the summer to raise funds.

Inter

is in fifth place in the table and 11 points behind leaders Napoli. Their first domestic game back after the World Cup is against Napoli at San Siro on January 4.
