Klopp optimistic about Darwin Nunez performance

The German coach is optimistic about the Uruguayan star's future at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp, the head coach of Liverpool, announced that he is optimistic about the performance of Darwin Nunes this season.

Nunez, who joined Liverpool as a replacement for Sadio Mane, has failed to live up to expectations since the beginning of the season. He was sent off with a straight red card in his first match in the Premier League and missed the next three games due to injury, which has caused fans to worry about him. The Uruguayan star has not been able to perform significantly in recent matches, but Klopp is optimistic about his future in Anfield.

The German said:

"It was his movement and the boys around him. 1 thing he showed so far in all games, he gets himself into good finishing position. It's why we should be optimistic from what's coming from him in the future.

"He brings himself quite frequently in good finishing positions which is the most important thing for a striker.

This season, Liverpool has gained 10 points in 7 games and has not been able to progress as expected by the fans. Klopp believes that a change in tactics and formation can bring them success.

"For us it's more important we become unpredictable again so we need different systems for that as well. 442...we can name different systems. We have to choose which one is the best for us against next opponent. We have to be more unpredictable."
