Klopp does not see “instant” solutions for Liverpool’s poor form

After being held at a 3-3 draw by Brighton and Hove Albion, Jurgen Klopp reveals the Liverpool’s form cannot be quickly fixed.

Jurgen Klopp

believes Liverpool cannot find an “instant” solution for their poor form and to bounce back for their battle against Rangers in the Champions League. The Reds could not turn the table in their Premier League return this weekend when they drew the game with Brighton and Hove Albion.

With only on victory in their last four matches across all competitions, Liverpool are concerned that they cannot compete this season. However, the German tactician is urging his side to work their problems and insists that they should “go back to the basics” and that an immediate comeback it not possible.

"We realised after Napoli it was a real low point, and we had to change things quickly,"

he stated.

"We didn't play Wolves, played Ajax, then didn't play Chelsea and couldn't keep up any momentum from the Ajax win."

"When you spot a problem and think you have the solution, you expect the solution to be instant and influential, that's never the case in football.

"When it doesn't work out, you realise step by step that you have to go back to the basics. We have to be patient again to do the right thing, and then we will be fine again."

The Reds’ ups and downs have made it difficult for new players such as Darwin Nunez to make an impact after getting a red card at the beginning of the season, but Klopp in not worried about the personal attributes of the forward.

"He is still adapting,"

he added.

"New players come in and everybody talks about them and wants them to shine immediately and that happens from time to time.

"We had a long talk yesterday and we told him we are completely calm. It's really important in our situation that he isn't worrying. The three-game suspension didn't help him to settle, that's clear.

"The team isn't flying and that doesn't make it easier for a striker, especially a finisher. It's not that everything is clicking, that is not our situation at the moment."
