. The 25-year-old will sign a 5-year deal in the French capital.

L'Équipe said today that PSG is planning to make a late move for Valencia's Spanish midfielder.

The 25-year-old Spain international has only one year left on his contract at Valencia. He has played for Spain nine times and scored three goals. The Paris club sees his availability this summer as a major market opportunity. The sports daily says that PSG sees the player as more of a creator than an organizer in midfield and that he would be part of the team's midfield rotation.

Even though the transfer window closes on Thursday, just two days from now, there have already been talks about a move. The PSG leadership hopes to close the deal very quickly. A transfer fee of just over €15 million is being talked about.

After coming up through the club's youth system, the central midfielder has played 225 games for the La Liga team. In that time, he has scored 36 goals and set up 31 others in all games.
