Dundee United 0-9 Celtic: Visitors hit United for NINE

Kyogo Furuhashi and Liel Abada each scored a hat-trick as Celtic inflicted a demoralising 9-0 defeat on Dundee United at Tannadice.

The last time the Bhoys beat

Aberdeen

by nine goals was in the 2010-2011 season. The rout was just two goals short of the club record of 11, which was set in 1985.

Kyogo, a Japanese player, got things going after 15 minutes. He added two more goals, one from 20 yards out, before halftime, giving Ange Postecoglou's team a 4-0 lead. Jota also scored at that point.

The lively Abada scored three goals in just 27 minutes of the second half, with a goal from defender

Josip Juranovic

in the middle. Carl Starfelt added the finishing touch when he headed in a corner kick from

David Turnbull

.

Dundee United, led by Jack Ross and lost to

AZ Alkmaar

7-0 in Europa League qualifying earlier this month, is still at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership with just one point. They have also given up 18 goals in just five league games. Celtic, on the other hand, jumps over Rangers and back into first place before next week's Old Firm match.
