Watford star Ismaila Sarr close to joining Aston Villa
Aston Villa is set to complete the £25 million signing of Watford forward Ismaila Sarr.
According to the English press,

Ismaila Sarrin a deal worth £25m. Crystal Palace was also interested in signing the 24-year-old forward.
The Senegal international joined Watford in 2019 from Rennes for £30m and scored 25 goals in 95 games. Sarr scored 10 goals and made eight assists in two Premier League seasons for Watford. He has 47 Senegal caps and was part of the team that won the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
Villa already has signed five players including defender Diego Carlos, goalkeeper Robin Olsen, midfielder Boubacar Kamara, Ludwig Augustinsson, and Boubacar Kamara. Philippe Coutinho's loan move from Barcelona was also made permanent at the end of the 2021-22 season.
Steven Gerrard’s side has lost two of their opening three games this season. Gerrard has won just three of his last 14 league games in charge of Villa and is under pressure.
