Sevilla acquire Isco’s services on a two-year contract

The former Real Madrid player had undergone his medical on Monday to finish his move as he hit free agency this summer.

Isco

has made a move to

Sevilla

after penning a two-year deal with the Spanish side. The Spain international became a free agent since departing

Real Madrid

last month and underwent his medical on Monday to complete his move to the Spanish outfit.

Sevilla had confirmed that the deal will be done on Sunday, with a follow up statement the day after that the move was done.

"After yesterday's announcement that he had signed an agreement in principle, the midfielder has today passed his medical and put pen to paper.

"The Malagueno will be here until at least the end of the 2023-24 season. In the coming days, Isco will be formally unveiled as a Sevillista and will meet up with his new teammates for his first training session."

The five-time Champions League winner might not have been included in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans, but at the age of 30, he is still very capable of helping the club that is regularly aiming for the Champions League qualification.

Sevilla were not the only team eager to acquire his services this summer as Jose Mourinho was keen on penning a deal with him.

The Roma boss and Isco have the same agent, but making a move to Italy did not please the player at this stage of his career.
