De Ligt's agent confirms transfer to Bayern Munich

German and Italian media on Sunday night reported that

and

have reached an agreement over the transfer of

for a fee that could reach €80m. De Ligt has traveled to Munich on Monday for medical and later will sign a five-year deal. Bayern reportedly is offering him €18m per season gross.

The 22-year-old center-back's agent Rafaela Pimenta has confirmed to reporters he is traveling to Munich to sign his contract with the German champions.

"Everything is perfect,"

Pimenta said.

"He is going to Bayern and is happy. We have to thank Juventus, who have been very good with Matthijs.”

The Dutch defender joined Juventus from Ajax in 2019. He scored 8 goals in 117 matches and won one Serie A and one Coppa Italia with Juventus.

Bayern Munich so far has signed Ryan Gravenberch, Sadio Mane, and Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax this summer and De Ligt will become their fourth arrival of the transfer window. Bayern also sold Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona on Saturday for a fee that could reach €50m.
