Malik Tillman 'nears' Rangers transfer from Bayern Munich

The 20-year-old moves to Ibrox in order to play more first-team games before the World Cup.

Malik Tillman, who wants to play for the U.S. men's national team, will spend the 2022–23 season on loan from Bayern Munich. Tillman is set to play for Rangers, who signed the midfielder to a short-term contract that they can make permanent if they want to.

Tillman, who is only 20, is one of the best young players in the United States. He joined the senior national team earlier this year.

And since he had a hard time making the first team at the big clubs in the Bundesliga, he will hope to get more regular starting time in Scotland before the World Cup. Rangers Football Club is happy to say that they have signed Malik Tillman from Bayern Munich on a season-long loan with an option to buy, pending international clearance. This was announced on the club's official website.

"The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is the fifth player Rangers have signed so far this summer." Tillman also said, "I am very happy to sign with the Rangers, and I can't wait to get started."

"It's a new challenge for me to work at a big club with great fans, and I can't wait for the upcoming season."
