Getafe president Torres: “Bale has been offered to us”

Gareth Bale will depart Los Blancos is month but he may join another La Liga side.

Angel Torres

, the

Getafe

president, has said that they have been linked with

Gareth Bale

after the forward decided to leave

Real Madrid

.

Bale will hit free agency at the end of June when his contract reaches its end. He has featured for Los Blancos for eight seasons and his deal is due to expire now.

The 32-year-old is searching for a new club to keep his fitness after he helped Wale get their first World Cup qualification after 64 years when they vanquished Ukraine on Sunday.

Therefore, he is not considering retirement, as a number of clubs are keeping tabs on him, like Cardiff City and clubs in Major League Soccer.

However, Bale is keen on staying in La Liga and he may join Getafe, who ended their league season sitting 15th on the table.

Torres talked to the reporters on Wednesday and said:

"I spoke with the representatives of Gareth Bale about 45 minutes ago.

"They have offered him to us. But we will have to study it with our technical staff and also the sports management team."

Bale contributed to 16 trophies when he was playing for Madrid but he did not feature a lot this season. Real Madrid, however, did win the La Liga title and the Champions League. He only started four games out of seven.

He confirmed his departure last week when he tweeted

: "I arrived here nine years ago as a young man who wanted to realise my dream of playing for Real Madrid.

"To wear the pristine white kit, to wear the crest on my chest, to play at the Bernabeu, to win titles and to be part of what it's so famous for, to win the Champions League.

"I can now look back, reflect and say with honesty that this dream became a reality and much, much more.

"To be a part of this club's history and to achieve what we achieved while I was a Real Madrid player, has been an incredible experience and one I will never forget.

"I also want to thank president Florentino Perez, Jose Angel Sanchez and the board for giving me the opportunity to play for this club.

"Together we were able to create some moments that will live forever in the history of this club and football. It has been an honour."
