Argentina beats Italy 3-0 to win Finalissima title

Argentina beat Italy with 3 goals in a one-sided affair to win the Finalissima at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night.

Finalissima is a renewal of the contest between the champions of Europe and South America. This is the first game between the two continental champions in 29 years. The last two Finalissima was in 1985, when France beat Uruguay, and in 1993 when

Argentina

beat Denmark on penalties.

Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring on Messi's cross in the 28th minute. Di Maria doubled the lead for Argentina when he scored a magnificent chip in the 45th minute. Messi again provided the assist. Dybala who came off the bench in stoppages time scored the third goal with the last kick of the game.

Argentina won the Copa America last summer for the first time since 1993 and is unbeaten in 32 matches.

Italy

won the Euro 2020 but failed to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar. Giorgio Chiellini played the first half of his final international match.
