Nagelsmann says Muller's new deal will prompt the likes of Lewandowski

Muller, who has been with the Bundesliga winners for more than a decade, has extended his contract with the club until 2024.

Tolisso and Sule are both nearing the end of their contracts with the Bavarians, with the latter expected to join them as a free agent ahead of the 2022-23 season.

are all under contract with the Bavarians until the end of next season, while Corentin Tolisso and Niklas Sule are both nearing the end of theirs.

Bayern manager Joachim Nagelsmann believes that keeping Muller was critical and that the 32-year-choice old's pledge of his future to the club may encourage some of his teammates to do the same.

In a news conference held on Friday, he stated: "His extension was critical, as it will send a positive signal to people both within and outside of the club, which will be beneficial.

"It's possible that more companies will follow suit now. I'm overjoyed with the outcome." Bayern Munich will play their final home game of the season on Sunday against relegation-threatened Stuttgart at the

in Munich.

Bayern Munich has only lost their last Bundesliga home game once in the past 38 seasons, and it was Stuttgart who inflicted the setback on them, winning 4-1 in 2018.
