Sir Alex Ferguson on Ten Hag’s appointment at Man Utd
The Red Devils legend has expressed his opinion regarding the appointment of the Ajax boss.
Erik ten Hag
will be
Manchester United’s manager when the season is over with the club going through a dismal campaign. Moreover, they will miss the
Champions Leaguenext season, being six points adrift of Arsenal in the fourth place, with just four games left.
The Red Devils have not won the title since Alex Ferguson’s reign and Ten Hag will be the fifth permanent boss following the departure of Ferguson in 2013.
The United legend was quizzed to share his opinion on the appointment of Ten Hag while going to a race meeting at Punchestown. He told RTE Racing: "Well, I hope he ( Ten Hag ) does well because the club needs someone to get in control. I hope he does well, yeah."
Ralf Rangnick
will take up an advisory role at the club when the season ends and will step down from his managerial role.
The German believes there should be 10 new signing at the club this summer as Ten Hag plans to rebuild the team.
