Dumfries explains his goal celebration against Roma

Inter defender Denzel Dumfries explained his celebration after scoring against Roma on Saturday.

“It was not easy, Roma had good matches and we know how important the win is today. We were very confident, played very well in defense too, and deserved the victory,”

Dumfries told DAZN.

Dumfries celebrated his fifth Serie A goal of the season by booting Danilo D’Ambrosio up the backside. Dumfries is the first Dutchman who has scored five Serie A goals in a season for Inter since the 1990s.

After the game, he explained his celebration.

“Inter is home, I like my teammates and the fans. D’Ambrosio always helps me, the celebration was a joke between us. I feel good, so let’s continue like this.”

he said.

Inter will play their game in hand against Bologna on Wednesday.

“We take every game step by step, we have a very experienced team, we’re calm and focused to win the next game.”

With this victory, Inter stays at top of the table with a one point lead over Milan after 33 games.
