The Norway international came off the bench for the first time since January 22 when Dortmund won 1-0 to move closer to Bundesliga leaders

with one game in hand.

The Norwegian did not play in six matches for his side given his muscle injury.

Reyna was also substituted at the same time in the second half after making his return from injury and emphasized how Dortmund received a boost by Haaland’s return.

Everyone knows what he brings to the table. He offers so much. He keeps defences on their toes the whole game. It's just a new dynamic, he can do so much for us,"

the United States international told Bundesliga.com.

"First and foremost, his goalscoring ability is something we don't take for granted. We'll see that soon and we're all really happy to have him back."

Dortmund were without the services of the Norwegian for much of the season because of his multiple fitness issues and he missed 17 matches.

However, when available, Haaland is as prolific as usual, meeting the back of the net 23 in 21 matches, including 16 in the league.

Fans are hoping Haaland will be in the starting XI for their next battle against Mainz, which they aim to win in order to get closer to Bayern Munich.
