Sardar Azmoun joins Bayer Leverkusen
Zenit’s Iranian striker has joined Bayer Leverkusen despite Milan and Roma’s interest.
There were a lot of speculations about
Sardar Azmoun’sfuture, and big clubs like

had shown interest in
Zenit St Petersburg’sIranian striker, but now he has joined
Bayer Leverkusendespite all the opportunities that he had.
Juventus was looking to sign the Iran international to help the Bianconeri’s front line in case
Alvaro Morata
left the Serie A side to join
Barcelona
, and Jose Mourinho was another fan of the 27-year-old striker and was looking to sign Azmoun in the summer and added to these two clubs there was some interest in the high-profile striker from Milan and Lille.
But despite all these options, Azmoun chose to join the Bundesliga side, and today it was announced that the player will be committed to Bayer Leverkusen until June 2027.
Before joining Leverkusen, the player was an important part of Zenit, and Iran’s squad having 60 senior caps and scoring 39 goals for his national team, and for his club, he scored ten goals and provided four assists in 21 games this season, proving himself as a high-quality striker to many big European clubs.
