Chris Wood’s move to Newcastle is almost done

Newcastle is about to finish the paper works for Chris Wood’s transfer from Burnley.

There have been reports suggesting that

Newcastle United

is close to finalizing

Chris Wood’s

move from

Burnley

to improve their front line as a part of their reinforcements in their squad, and

Eddie Howe

, who has been struggling to bring in his targets in the transfer market, should be happy with the situation.

Newcastle’s best striker Callum Wilson has been struggling with injury, and this has forced the club to consider signing new players in that area alongside other recruitments, which is their first plan for the future of the club.

The 30-year-old’s contract with Burnley had a release clause, and Newcastle has agreed to pay it, which helps make the transfer happen quicker, and Wood is going to be on Tyneside on Tuesday to go through the medical tests.

Reinforcing their front line may be a priority for Newcastle considering Wilson’s situation, but Eddie Howe is also looking for a center-back and a midfielder because added to their problems in scoring goals, they know that they need fresh power if they are willing to move up to the giants’ level.
