Juventus targets Sardar Azmoun as Chiesa's replacement

The Iranian star of Zenit has been brought to the attention of Juve and negotiations have begun.

Reports from Italy suggest that

Juventus

are set to sign

Zenit

striker

Sardar Azmoun

as a replacement for Federico

Chiesa

, and Lyon striker Bruno Guimaraes is another option.

Chiesa

has been sidelined with a hamstring injury and will not be able to play for Bianconeri until the end of the season, so Juventus will try to sign Sardar Azmoun as his replacement.

Azmoun's contract with Zenit expires at the end of the season and he has managed to score 10 goals for his team in 21 games this season. According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus have started negotiations with Zenit. Given that they can not afford an expensive player in January, Azmoun is a good option for them.

However, Zenit does not intend to give the green light to Juventus before finding a replacement for Azmoun.

Lyon striker Bruno Guimaraes, on the other hand, is another target for Juventus. Negotiations with Lyon for the transfer have also begun, but the Brazilian star's contract expires in the summer of 2024 and his price is estimated at 45 million euros. Therefore, Juventus can only hire him on loan and with a permanent purchase clause.

In the 2019-2020 season, Guimaraes scored two of Lyon's three goals against Juventus, eliminating them from the Champions League.
