RB Leipzig named Tedesco as their new coach

Red Bull Leipzig finally unveiled their new coach.

Following the dismissal of Jesse Marsch, RB Leipzig chose Domenico Tedesco as their new manager.

Marsch, who joined

Leipzig

from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer to replace Julian Nagelsamann, failed miserably and his side were at the bottom half of the Bundesliga table. So the club decided to end his collaboration with him and put a new coach on the bench.

Tedesco, 36, will have a contract with the club until the end of next season. He was selected as

Schalke

boss at the age of 31 and was sacked by the club in 2019, but a year later took over at

Spartak Moscow

and left the club at the end of his contract.

He started coaching in 2008 as an assistant coach at Stuttgart Under-17. He now joins Leipzig with his assistants, Andreas Hinkel and Max Orvantsky. He will hold the club's first training session on Thursday evening and will prepare his team for Saturday's match against Monchengladbach.
