West Ham interested in the Citizens’ Nathan Ake

West Ham has been looking to improve their defensive performance by signing Nathan Ake.

West Ham

has been looking to find a proper player to help them improve empower their defensive line, and to do so they have decided to sign

Manchester City’s

center-back

Nathan Ake

, who they think can fill their injured defender

Angelo Ogbonna

, who will be sidelined for the rest of the season.

Ogbonna was injured during the Hammers’ 3-2 victory against

Liverpool

in the Premier League in November, and they haven’t won any of their three games since the player stopped playing, suffering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The reports suggest that the Hammers have been looking to find cover for their defenders Kurt Zouma, Craig Dawson, and Issa Diop, especially with their compact fixtures in the domestic and continental competitions, and it is said that Manchester City’s defender is the target that they have been watching since then which seems like a good idea considering the 26-year-old’s situation with the Citizens.

Nathan Ake has been unable to find a regular place for himself in the Citizens’ lineup since he arrived from Bournemouth with a deal worth £41m the last summer.

West Ham will probably try to make a loan deal for the player, and although Manchester City won’t be interested in helping another team that is in the race with them, they may accept a proper offer for the defender.
