Emile Smith Rowe experiences his best day against Tottenham

Arsenal’s star in the north London derby says that it was the best day of his life.

Arsenal’s

21-year-old academy graduate had a very impressive performance in the north London derby scoring a goal and assisting another one in the Gunners’ 3-1 victory against

Tottenham

and has claimed that it was the best day of his life as he becomes the youngest Arsenal player to score a goal against Tottenham.

"It’s probably the best day of my life,"

he said to Sky Sports after the match

.

"I’ve always dreamt of this day to score for Arsenal against Tottenham. With my family here, it’s the best feeling ever."

has also talked about

Mikel Arteta’s

suggestions before the game, saying that the Gunners’ manager had asked him to be calm and insists that the fans helped him to keep calm.

Asked what advice coach Mikel Arteta had given the team, Smith Rowe said:

"He just tells us to keep calm. Also the fans and the players give us so much confidence as well."

He added to BBC Sport :

"The fans have done so much for us today and we want to thank them as much as we can.

"I feel like we've worked so hard. We had a tough start to the season. I feel like it's going really well at the moment but we need to keep our heads on."
