Sampdoria trying to bring Ljajic back to Serie A

The former Roma star is on his way back to Italy.

Sampdoria

are trying to bring Adem Ljajic back to Serie A after he was removed from the Besiktas' squad.

The Serbian striker, who will soon turn 30, has a contract with Besiktas until the end of this season. However, he has been left out by the coach and intends to move to another team.

It is rumored that Turkish team officials believed that the Serbian star had used his injuries as an excuse not to train with the team, and that club coach Sergen Yalcin had asked him to leave the team immediately.

Sky Sports Italia claims that Ljajic's next destination will be Sampdoria. He spent most of his Serie A career, starting with Fiorentina in January 2010. He then transferred to Roma, Inter and Torino and joined the Turkish team in the summer of 2018.

He played 47 games for Serbia and managed to score 9 goals.
