Roma have shown interest in Lucas Torreira
Lucas Torreira is likely to move to Roma on loan as his agent is meeting with Arsenal directors today.
According to Roma Press, Torreira’s representative Pablo Bentancur is in London today for a meeting with the Gunners directors.
Torreira joined Arsenal on a €28 million deal in 2018 after a long time playing in Italy at Pescara and Sampdoria and since he arrived, he has been struggling to adapt.
He is now coming back from a loan spell at Atletico Madrid and still does not want to stay in England.
The 25-year-old’s contract expires in June 2023 and he could join Roma on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Arsenal have been ready to make his move permanent, but now they are having their doubts and might be open to a loan with an option to buy.
The Uruguay international midfielder also has been linked with Lazio earlier in the summer.
