Chilean FA President: ‘it will be difficult to count on Alexis’

Alexis Sanchez is going to be out until mid-September due to a calf injury which means he is going to miss the start of the new season at Inter and also three World Cup qualifying games for Chile.

has been struggling to recover from a calf injury in time for the new season and is expected to be out until mid-September.

This means that he is going to miss the start of Serie A and three World Cup qualifying games for

Chile

at the start of the next month.

The President of the Chilean Football Association talked about the seriousness of the former Barcelona and Manchester United forward’s injuries.

“Once again it will be difficult to count on Alexis,”

Milan told And Radio.

“He has a rather complicated injury

.

“We hope he can come here in time, but the situation is serious.”

Sanchez, capped 139 times by Chile, moved to Inter from Manchester United permanently in September 2020 after he spent the 2019-20 season on loan at San Siro.

Through his 70 appearances for the Nerazzurri, the 32-year-old has been able to score 11 goals and provide 18 assists.
