Milan struggle to reach an agreement with Atalanta over Ilicic

The Atalanta forward has been heavily linked with a move away from La Dea in recent weeks.

Josip Ilicic

was a key player for Atalanta as they finished third in Serie A last season. The Slovenian forward, who has spent the last four years at Gewiss Stadium, is linked with a move to AC Milan ahead of the next season.

According to

Tuttosport

, Ilicic has already agreed to personal terms with Milan. However, the Rossoneri are struggling to reach an agreement with Atalanta over a transfer fee. The Bergamaschi are reportedly asking for a figure between €6m and €8m, while Milan are willing to secure the signing with a €4m fee.

Ilicic featured in 38 matches for Atalanta last season, scoring 6 goals and providing 10 assists. Milan are eager to add the 33-year-old to their final third, where he would form an experienced attacking force alongside

Olivier Giroud

and

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

.
