Eriksen’s return date was revealed after horror Euro injury

Right before the half-time interval, the Denmark captain was collapsed during his side's Euro 2020 opener against Finland on June 12. The Denmark international was pulled off the ground on a stretcher and then was taken to hospital.

According to

Il Corriere dello Sport

, Christian Eriksen revealed when he’ll be back to the training when the Dane met his Inter teammates at Appiano Gentile yesterday.

The outlet also reported that Eriksen fought back tears when he telling his teammates that he ‘had been lucky’ he survived the horror injury.

He also added that he will return to action “in four or five months.”

Eriksen suffered a heart attack during the Finland match

and received emergency treatment on the field, and then he was taken to the hospital.

Referee Anthony Taylor immediately blew his whistle and brought proceedings to a halt. Denmark and Finland immediately called for the medical staff, who raced onto the pitch to administer treatment.

The Dane had to undergo surgery to implant a heart defibrillator a few days later, but he won’t be allowed to play in Serie A again unless the device is removed.

“He will now follow the recovery programme put forward by Danish doctors in Copenhagen, who will also co-ordinate the clinical follow-up,” Inter said in an official statement yesterday.
