Icardi’s transfer to Roma leads Dzeko to Juventus

As Paris Saint-Germain has been recruiting many high-profile players like Gianluigi Donnarumma from Milan and Achraf Hakimi from Inter, Mauro Icardi is climbing down the pecking order.

Joining the in 2019 on a loan contract that included an obligation to buy for €50m plus up to another €22m in add-ons from Inter, they have to pay Inter €15m as mentioned in the contract, which was put there to avoid a transfer to Juventus in the first place.

Being previously linked with a move to Juventus

,

La Repubblica

reports that Icardi’s wife and agent, Wanda Nara, is in negotiations with Roma instead of the Bianconeri as Jose Mourinho has long been an admirer of Icardi.

According to the reports, Icardi’s move either to Juve or Roma has to be a loan deal, especially as Inter had it written into the transfer contract that PSG would pay a heavy financial penalty if they sold him back to another Italian club.

PSG would accept an Icardi two-year loan with the obligation to buy for circa €30-35m. The possible loan move of the Argentine would then open the door for Dzeko to join Juve, a move that had already been close last summer.

Milan also has been linked with a summer move for Mauro Icardi

 in recent weeks.

Stefano Pioli

is keen to bolster his team’s firepower ahead of the next season.

Asked about Milan’s potential summer move for the Argentinian striker,

Zlatan Ibrahimovic responded

: “I will always support the arrival of any player who can help the team, the club will decide.”
