Neymar hits out on CONMEBOL’s decision after Gabriel Jesus’ ban

Neymar has reacted to Brazil teammate’s two-session ban.

During the match between Brazil and Chile in the quarter-final of Copa America, Brazil forward

Gabriel Jesus

received a straight red card after his horrifying flying kick on Chile’s left-back, Eugenio Mena.

Jesus officially apologized after this incident and announced that he had no previous intentions. However, CONMEBOL (the governing body of football in South America) announced on Tuesday that the player would be suspended for an additional session and there would be no reconsideration.

’s reaction. Paris Saint-Germain star said: "

It is very sad to be in the hands of people who make these kinds of decisions.

"They made a beautiful analysis of the play. We must congratulate them."

Furious by CONMEBOL’s decision, Jesus himself also reacted to the verdict. He wrote on Instagram:

"Two-match ban and no appeal? Congratulations CONMEBOL. I think you didn't see what happened right."

The 24-year-old forward will also have to pay a $5,000 fine.
