Robinho’s appeal against rape sentence has been failed

The former Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Milan star, Robinho, who was sentenced to nine-year in prison for raping an Albanian 22-year-old woman in 2017, has his sentence confirmed by the Milan Court of Appeal.

The former

Milan

forward, who has been sentenced alongside his friend,

Ricardo Falco

, had 45 days to appeal to the Supreme Court of Cassation. The Brazilian was convicted in December when the court determined that

Robinho

had "belittled" and "brutally humiliated" the victim during his participation in a gang rape that took place in Italy in 2013.

Robinho’s

representatives were deemed to have shown contempt for the victim, whom they brutally humiliated and of falsifying the facts.
