John Hughes says Ross County’s survival battle is not done yet

Ross County manager John Hughes does not get carried away by the victory against Kilmarnock and insists the job is not done yet.

The Staggies took a massive step towards safety from relegation with their 3-2 victory over

Kilmarnock

, thanks to

Billy McKay

's

brace and

Leo Hjelde

's first senior goal for the club.

The win moved

Ross County

four points clear of Killie with a game in hand.

There are seven matches to go until the end of the season and

John Hughes

believes his side still have things to do and must not think the job is done.

“I’m disappointed with the goals we lost – we have to be better than that – but at Ross County we make it hard for ourselves,”

he said

.

“From now until the end of the season, it’s about showing a spirit and togetherness. I felt that was there on Saturday and it has to be there Monday.

“If any of them come in with a swagger on Monday morning they’ll be getting sent home.

“We’ve still got business to do. It’s going to go down right to the wire.”
