Totally confident that Jimenez will play again this season - Nuno

The Portuguese coach believes that his side's striker can accompany his team again this season.

Wolverhampton

striker Raul Jimenez, who has been sidelined for a long time due to injury, is on the verge of returning and Nuno has expressed confidence that he will be ready for the rest of the 2020-21 season.

The 29-year-old striker suffered a skull fracture during his side's match against Arsenal in November. He was expected to be out for a long time, but Nuno insisted that the Mexican striker could accompany his team this season.

Nuno told reporters:

“I am totally confident. For sure. We have to be very aware of the circumstances and avoid any kind of contact. He has been able to participate in the initial part of the training sessions.

“Just him being with his team-mates is a big help for him, and for us. We are following the right protocols with no rush, but we're delighted Raul is getting better day by day.”

Jimenez fell to the ground during the match against Arsenal after colliding with David Luiz, and the medical staff had been treating him on the pitch for a long time. He was then taken directly to hospital and underwent surgery on his skull.
