Arsenal eager to cash in on Reiss Nelson
Arsenal are considering sending Reiss Nelson away in the summer transfer window.
Reiss Nelson
has featured in nine games for
Arsenalthis season, with two of them being in the
Premier League.
In the last campaign, the 21-year-old has made 22 appearances, having been on a loan deal away at
Hoffenheimin the 2018/19 season.
Since the winger is not given regular game time, he may be interested in a transfer when the campaign ends.
According to
CBS Sports
, the Gunners are open to offers for their player who started at their academy at the age of nine. The Arsenal boss
Mikel Arteta
has believed in promoting young players ever since joining the club in 2019.
Bukayo Saka
and
Emile Smith-Rowe
play crucial roles in the Spaniard’s ploy. Nelson, however, has climbed down the pecking order.
For the Gunners to raise some funds for signing new players, they have to cash in on players like Nelson.
The 21-year-old’s contract will expire in 2023 and he is not going to complete his contract.
"We have pace in a few players up front. Reiss [Nelson] is a special player and can eliminate players one on one. He's been out for a while but he's back now and he showed what he's capable of doing,” Arteta said of the forward last year.
