Leicester target Brentford’s Ivan Toney as Jamie Vardy’s successor
The Premier League side hope to sign the Championship top-scorer of the 2020-21 season since Vardy just recently celebrated his 34th birthday.

Leicester Cityare on the hunt for

Ivan Toney, to inherit
Jaime Vardy’s position since the latter just recently celebrated his 34th birthday.
Signing Toney would not mean fully replacing the
Premier LeaguePlayer of the Season in Leicester’s 2015-16 title-winning campaign, but the team hopes to take precautionary measures considering Vardy’s age.
Eventhough Toney joined
Newcastlein 2015, he was eventually loaned to several League One clubs before earning a deal with Brentford.
If Toney’s move was set to happen, the 24-year-old will be the third Brentford player after
Brighton's
Neal Maupayand
Aston Villa's
Ollie Watkinsto join a Premier League side.
Leicester currently have
Kelechi Iheanachoas Vardy’s replacement in their times of need, but they are still convinced that they could find a better player to take their star’s place.
So far Toney has scored 24 goals in 31 appearacnes for his second placed Championship side.
