Brisbane and Jets match ended up goalless because of the weather

The two team representatives believe that the weather condition had caught their control over the ball.

Newcastle Jets

both sides' representatives blamed the weather condition.

Riku Danzaki

scored 2 goals in this match, and both goals were ruled out for offside, in the two halves of the game.

Brisbane had won 4 games in a row before their match against

Macarthur

which resulted in a 2-0 defeat. Macarthur and Brisbane stan in the second and third place of the

A-League

table with 1 point difference.

Jets stand at the 7th place of the table with 8 points gained so far, with 10 points behind the League leaders, Central Coast Mariners.

Jets boss,

Craig Deans

talked about the effect of weather and said:

"Obviously the weather had a bit of an impact.

"The wind, it was a bit like a Newcastle home game."

He then talked about the team's situation and said:

"Pleasing, another clean sheet, and four games without defeat so it's a nice little patch."

Brisbane coach,

Warren Moon

, also talked about the match regarding the weather condition:

"The wind's played a fairly big factor in the game and probably the quality of the game.

"No-one wants to play scrappy games but we have to negotiate the conditions and defensively we did that tonight.

"Would have loved us to be a bit better on the ball but obviously taken into account what I just said about the conditions, yeah, take the point."
