Cellino’s hunt for Brescia’s fifth coach of the season

The ex-Leeds co-owner is looking for a new boss for the club as their team stands 13th with only 21 points from 20 games in the Italian second-division.

Brescia

president, Massimo Cellino, hopes to find a new manager for the Italian second-division side following the sacking of their fourth coach of the season, Davide Dionigi.

Cellino, who was the co-owner of

Leeds United

before arriving at Brescia, has been known as the

"manager eater"

after sacking six managers during his time with the

Premier League

club.

Dionigi’s exit came on Wednesday following four consecutive defeats with Brescia.

Though two weeks earlier Dionigi had signed a contract until 2022 with the second-tier club, he still failed to maintain his position after 10 games with Brescia.

This season has been a great challenge for Brescia, who started the season with Luigi Delneri to later be coached by Diego Lopez and Daniele Gastaldello before Dionigi stepped in to take their coaching position.
