Real Madrid failed to appeal the return of the red card

Real Madrid have failed to appeal for the overturning of Eder Militao’s red card in last week’s league defeat to Levante.

Real Madrid

Brazilian defender

Eder Militao

will be suspended for the weekend and won’t be available for the teams’ trip to Huesca.

The Competition Committee rejected the appeal on Wednesday; further absentees will dominate Real Madrid news with their squad down to the bare bones.

Referee Madi Jimenez initially showed the central defender a yellow card for falling

but this was subsequently overturned with a red card brandished.

Milito came to Madrid from

Porto

in the summer of 2019 on a €50 million deal but could not play as a key player at the club before the midfield between

Sergio Ramos

and

Rafael Varane

For the first time in his career at the club, the Brazilian had played three consecutive games due to Sergio Ramos injury but will now serve his suspension.
