Rebic, Krunic and Hernandez set to return to action for Milan
Ante Rebic, Rade Krunic and Theo Hernandez being given the green light to leave self-isolation to boost Milan’s title hopes.
Prior to
Milan's
crucial clash against Juventus on January 6, the trio was sidelined due to positive Covid tests, they haven’t played since then.
Hernandez
and
Hakan Calhanoglu
were ruled out of the
Cagliari
game as they returned positive results from tests administered last Saturday. However, Rosonnerri revealed on Thursday that
Hernandez's
result was a "false positive", while
Rebic
and
Kurnic
have now been given the green light to leave self-isolation.
A club statement read:
"Milan announces that both Ante Rebic and Rade Krunic underwent a molecular swab test with negative results and this morning had the medical exams required to resume professional activity.
"Further examinations have shown that Theo Hernandez was a 'false positive'. The documentation has been provided to the health authorities and the player can now resume training."
Milan
are leading the Serie A title race with three points over their city rivals,
Inter
. They will face
Atalanta
in a home league fixture on Saturday before their Coppa Italia clash against
Inter
.
