Zidane on Benzema’s possible return to France’s squad

The Frenchman has not been featured in any of Les Bleus games since 2015, but it is expected that things are about to change for Benzema.

Following the news of

Karim Benzema

’s possible return to

France

international squad,

Real Madrid

manager, Zinedine Zidane, expressed his happiness saying that it is

"good news"

to hear the Frenchman is returning to France after he was dismissed of taking part in their games since 2015.

Benzema, who reached 81 games with France before his dismissal, was left out of their international squad following a sex-tape scandal relating to his fellow countryman

Mathieu Valbuena

for which he was accused of blackmailing.

After FFF presidential candidate, Michel Moulin, revealed his intention to bring the player back to the team,

Zidane

said:

"That Benzema can return to the France team is good news.”

Zidane also talked about

Luka Jovic

, who is set to return to

Eintracht Frankfurt

on a loan, saying:

"Jovic is a striker who scores goals, it is his characteristic. He's 21 years old, we understand only that. It's what we want from him.”

"He has had no luck, he has had difficulties, adaptation, injuries. At 21 it is not easy. You must learn from many things."

Later the Whites boss spoke about his second placed team in the

La Liga

table, adding:

"When we do a little worse there are always criticisms, and it won't change. In a season there are ups and downs but we always try to do better, that is what we are going to try tomorrow.

"We hope that the season will get better little by little."
