FIFA ranks Michael Olunga among 2020’s lesser known hotshots
Kashiwa Reysol striker spent a memorable season at the J1 League as he was announced as the competition’s MVP and the Golden Boot winner.

Kashiwa Reysollast season and was recognized as the competition’s award for the Most Valuable Player. He was also J1 League’s top scorer as he helped Kashiwa Reysol finish the season in the seventh place of the league’s table. The 26-year-old has played in Sweden, Spain and China but has been able to develop himself as a reliable striker in Japan where he has spent his last two seasons.
“I attribute the success to hard work and staying focused even when you think everything is lost,” Olunga told Fifa.com in an earlier interview. “It’s about believing you are capable of achieving great things and doing wonders on the pitch.”
Other players who have been listed by FIFA as little known hotshots are Marcel Hernandez, Kasper Junker, Ramiro Rocca and Rauno Sappinen.
