Former France & PSG boss Blanc makes coaching comeback in Qatar

The World Cup winner is set to join the Qatari side Al Rayyan as head coach, four and a half years after he left PSG.

, former France and PSG manager resuming dugout duties after a four-year hiatus.

Blanc has taken a long break from the stresses of club management.

A 1998 FIFA World Cup winner as a player with France, Blanc later coached the national team after a spell in charge at Bordeaux which he led the club to title glory in 2008-09.

He then spent three seasons as PSG boss before departing at the end of the 2015-16 season, despite leading the Parc des Princes giants to two domestic trebles and a double.

Al Rayyan have tempted the 55-year-old back into action and have signed him on an 18-month contract.
