Newcastle fans expect defeat after Bruce selected Hendrick

Newcastle fans reacted badly to their line up. They are actually expecting a defeat after seeing Jeff Hendrick in the lineup.

Jeff Hendrick

is back to the lineup for

Newcastle United

and apparently, the fans are not very pleased with the decision of Steve Bruce. The 28 years old Irish player has the experience of playing for Derby County and Burnley before joining Newcastle this year. The 28-year-old has made nine appearances for the Toon and scored once and has been named by boss Steve Bruce to start this evening's match against Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds at Elland Road.

He played 196 games for Derby in which he scored 22 goals and 122 matches for Burnley from 2016 to 2020. He is an international player as he played 60 times so far for The Republic of Ireland and scored 2 goals for his country. The midfielder however seems unwanted by the Newcastle fans considering their reactions on Twitter after finding out he is in the selection.

Jonathan Snaith posted:

"Just seen team news. Jeff Hendrick is back. 3-0 defeat incoming."

Chad Presley posted:

"Okay.. I Just can’t understand Hendrick being in the team man."

Dan Wright posted:

"Five at the back, Jeff Hendrick in the midfield. Not looking forward to this one."

Martin Stanley posted:

"5 at the back and Hendrick back in the team. This is gonna be fun."

David Thompson posted:

"Hendrick never does much wrong to be fair, I just don’t know what sort of player he is, defensive? Attacking? Play-maker? Winger? Remember it’s took a while to find big joe a job, let’s give Jeff a chance."

@SSoftie posted: "Not overjoyed to see Hendrick back in the starting 11, let's hope he's learned how to pass the ball forward."
