Frimpong: Sell Xhaka and sign me on a free!

Former Arsenal midfielder criticizes Arteta’s team after their poor performance against Burnley.

Arsenal

was defeated by

Burnley

in their Sunday Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Granit Xhaka

was sent off by a second yellow card in the 56th minute of the game and a quarter of an hour later Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored an own goal which was the only goal of the game. Former Gunners player

Emmanuel Frimpong

criticized his old club in a series of posts on Twitter and suggested that Arteta must get rid of Xhaka.

"Sell Xhaka and get me on a free,"

Firmpong who is known for his humorous tweets continued his posts by saying that Arsenal fans shouldn’t put up with this level of performance that the team are currently displaying.

"Lets dissolve Arsenal with immediate effect,"

Frimpong tweeted.

He wrote in his next post:

"Fans deserve way better than this crap."

Frimpong joined Arsenal in 2001 and spent 10 years at the club’s academy until he made his debut in 2011. However, he managed to appear in only 16 games for the Gunners and he was sent on three loan spells to Wolves, Charlton Athletic

, and Fulham

. The player’s last club was Ermis Aradippou in Cyprus and since his departure from the club he has been a free agent.
