Hulk leaves Shanghai after falling out with the coach

The Brazilian Striker Hulk has announced his decision to depart from the Chinese Super League side after four years as he has fallen out with the coach.

The 34-year-old didn’t play as

Shanghai

was ruled out of the AFC Champions League at the last 16-stage on Monday against

Vissel Kobe

of Japan.

"Today is the day I say goodbye to Shanghai SIPG, a team that made me feel at home," Hulk wrote on China's Weibo social media platform after the season-ending defeat.

Hulk exchanged words with the Portuguese coach, Vitor Pereira, when he was substituted during their 1-0 loss against Yokohama F. Marinos in the AFC Champions League.

The Brazilian wrote a message of thanks to his club and fans without referring to Pereira on his social media farewell.

"During these more than four years I'm very grateful to the fans, who welcomed me so warmly," said the Brazilian, who has made 48 appearances for his country, scoring 11 times.
