FIFA will cover Liverpool defender’s weekly pay

FIFA will compensate the Reds for the injury of the English defender during the national duty.

suffered an injury during training with the England national team and will be out of action for several months.

According to the Daily Mail,

Joe Gomez

will miss most of the current season, so FIFA is set to pay

£2 million

in compensation to

Liverpool

. Gomez's weekly salary is

£80,000

and FIFA will pay Liverpool to compensate for the English defender’s injury.

English clubs are all sponsored by FIFA’s insurance plan and in the event of a player being injured during a formal, friendly match or training session, FIFA is obligated to compensate for the team’s loss.
