Messinho to London: Chelsea’s negotiations to sign the young Brazilian winger

Reports reveal the details of the movements and obstacles faced by European clubs in order to sign the promising Palmeiras player

According to an English press report published today, Tuesday, it indicates that Chelsea has started its negotiations to sign the Brazilian winger Estevao Willian, who is 17 years old, from Palmeiras club.

According to “The Athletic” British newspaper, Chelsea shows its confidence in completing the deal with the player, as soon as he reaches the age of eighteen in April of next year.

The newspaper also added that Palmeiras club is ready to accept an initial fixed amount estimated at about 30 million euros, in addition to expected bonuses based on the player’s performance.

The newspaper clarifies that Chelsea has a resident scout in Brazil who follows Estevao Willian closely, while other representatives from the club have traveled to Brazil to watch the player closely on the field.

The contract of Estevao Willian, known as “Messinho”, extends with Palmeiras club until 2026, and he was dubbed the successor of the Argentine legend Lionel Messi by some media outlets.

The newspaper pointed out that Real Madrid was seeking to contract with “Messinho”, but the relationship between the head of scouting Junie Calafat and the player’s agent made the deal seem difficult to achieve.

Previous press reports indicate that Barcelona withdrew from the deal due to its financial crisis in the recent period.
