Despite the fact that Manchester City is only one point behind Arsenal, the leading team, and with the end of the season approaching with only three rounds remaining, it has a postponed match that it must play.

In statements reported by the Mirror newspaper, Ake confirmed, saying: “For me, it doesn’t really matter to play against Arsenal again next weekend. Things still depend on what we do, so we don’t rely on the performance of others.”

He pointed to the difference between this season and the previous season, when they were relying on the results of others, explaining: “This season, we are the ones who control our destiny.”

He explained: “We realize that if we succeed in winning the next four matches, we will be the champions. The only task we have to do is to focus on the next match.”

He admitted that they watched the Arsenal match against Tottenham and the former won 3-2, while they were on their way to a match they won against Nottingham Forest 2-0.

He confirmed: “Of course, it would be great if Arsenal lost some points, but our focus must remain on ourselves - this is what we can do.”

He continued: “Have we had experiences in such situations before? Certainly, we all have experience, but in the end it depends on what we are doing now.”
