Ronaldo: I'd have taken Endrick to the World Cup

Brazil icon, Ronaldo has revealed that he would have taken the Palmeiras sensation to the World Cup in Qatar.

Brazil

manager, Tite, announced his final squad for the

World Cup

on Monday, with players such as Neymar, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Raphinha, Jesus, and Gabriel Martinelli on his list, while other stars like Matheus Cunha, Firmino, and Gabigol were absent.

Ronaldo Nazario who won the World Cup in 2002 has revealed that he would have taken the Palmeiras forward Endrick to Qatar.

He said:

“If I had to choose one to be part of the call, with few options to really act, I would choose Endrick. It would be a sensational experience for him. For the future of the Brazilian team.”

The 16-year-old Endrick is one of the most exciting prospects in the world of football and big European clubs including Real Madrid and Manchester City are interested in signing him. Endrick has scored three goals in five matches for Palmeiras since his recent senior debut.

Ronaldo believes Endrick has a very promising future and will be in Brazil squad in near future.

He added:

“People are complaining about Gabigol’s absence from the squad, but if I had to take one more forward, I’d go with Endrick. A boy with a very promising future and who is already in the professional field. It would be an incredible experience.”

Brazil will start its World Cup campaign against

Serbia

on November 24. They then will play with Switzerland and Cameroon.
